Maverick was formed in 2010 after Waterloo's Mixed touring team, Liquid, disbanded after finishing highest among Ontario teams at CUC in both 2008 and 2009. Led by veteran players from Liquid, our goal is to compete with the best Open teams in Canada and grow the popularity of men's ultimate in the Southwestern Ontario. We will grow as a team by pushing each other to become stronger, adapting to the challenges that face us, and striving to out-run, out-jump, out-last, and out-play the competition. 2011 will be Maverick’s second year of competition on the Open circuit. We will be looking to build on a solid 2010 where we finished 5th at CUC in Sherbrooke.
